State Authorizations for Distance Education

Ƶ is currently authorized to operate, exempt, or not subject to state authorization approval in the following states for its distance education programs. AJU may accept enrollment applications from prospective students residing in (located in) the states on this list.

NOTICE: Ƶ cannot guarantee continued enrollment or disbursement of federal student aid funding, such as federal loans and Pell Grants, if a distance education student relocates to a state not currently on this list. A student’s loan repayment or deferment status, including other benefits, may also be impacted if a student relocates to a state in which AJU is not authorized to offer distance education at. Students are strongly encouraged to contact Registrar Services at registrarataju.edu (registrar[at]aju[dot]edu) to discuss such changes in their legal state of residence prior to actual relocation.

    Ƶ is authorized by the Illinois Board of Higher Education, by way of an exemption as an Institution with Limited Physical Presence in Illinois, to provide distance education programs to Illinois residents as defined under the Illinois Administrative Code Section 1030.10 (Ill. Admin. Code tit. 23 § 1030 (2017)).

    Ƶ is exempt from state authorization requirements of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) pursuant to Texas Education Code, Section 132.002(1)(A). AJU is regulated and approved to operate and offer postsecondary education and award degrees by the State of California through regional accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WASC).
