  • 2016 Reaffirmation of WSCUC Accreditation

In spring 2016, AJU was visited by a WSCUC team for a re-accreditation review under the 2013 Standards of Accreditation. This visit resulted in AJU’s re-accreditation for the maximum eight-year period (through 2024). The visiting team commended our recently “redesigned undergraduate program” which focuses focused on social justice and ethical leadership as well as “the university faculty for its dedication to quality reaching and student mentoring.” They also praised the “new leadership in academic affairs, student affairs, undergraduate admissions, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Graduate School of Non-Profit Management,” for helping to “re-energize these programs and services,” and for fostering “positive programmatic momentum.” They described our university as having made “extraordinary progress in advancing new academic curricula,” while “building trust and optimism among the administration, faculty and staff.” The site team also encouraged AJU to continue to invest in student and residential services, as well as in facilities and technologies, all of which we fully intend to do.
